The Trade Office of France opened an office at the Prism Center, located in the Dallas International District.

This is the first international trade office to open in the district, which will be developed at the Valley View-Galleria area.

The Prism Center is owned by the City of Dallas and is also home to an office for District 11 City Council member Jaynie Schultz.

About 450 acres are covered in the area bordered by the LBJ Freeway, the Dallas North Tollway, Preston Road and Alpha Road. When completed, the international district will be anchored by a 20-acre park and consist of residences, offices, the Pre-K-12 International District STEAM Academy, retail space, dining options and entertainment venues.

Also, plans are in place to connect the district to the DART network and build automated transportation within it.

Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson, French Deputy Ambassador Aurélie Bonal, former U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison, Schultz and Mayor Pro Tem Carolyn King Arnold were among those in attendance at the ribbon-cutting.
