The public charter jet company Aero, is opening a hub at Dallas’ Love Field. Passengers this spring will be able to catch a small plane to Aspen or Los Cabos. Introductory rates start at $1,000 one-way per seat.

For those seeking some middle ground (or, air) between, say, flying Southwest and owning your own airplane, Aero might be the answer.

The San Francisco-based startup’s Dallas branch will operate out of Signature Aviation’s terminal facility at Dallas Love Field. Flights to Los Cabos, Mexico begin departing in April. Aspen Airport flights will start taking off in May.

“Dallas was an obvious next choice for the brand due to its central location, which will help position Aero for future growth across the U.S.,” a spokesperson tells AINOnline.

Aero uses refurbished Embraer regional jets converted to all-first-class seating, according to company literature. The customized cabins include 13 “generously spaced facing club seats” with extra legroom and access to a table.

“We believe a life well lived is not about getting from A to B,” notes the Aero website. “It’s about getting the most from the entire journey.”

In addition to Dallas, the startup operates private terminals at Los Angeles International Airport, Van Nuys Airport, and San Francisco International Airport that also serve destinations to Los Cabos, Aspen, and Sun Valley, Idaho.

Aero Technologies’ expansion follows an announcement last summer that the company had secured multiple forms of funding, to the tune of $3 million, “to further ignite growth and expand into new markets.”

According to an investor from Keyframe Capital, John Rapaport, “Aero has built a recognizable brand and a thoughtful jet service that customers love.” He added, “We are excited to be by their side to develop next-level global air travel experiences.”
