Two Preston Hollow girls schools have been recognized by College Board for female diversity in advanced computer science classes.

The Hockaday School and Ursuline of Dallas Academy are two of 1,105 schools that earned the AP Computer Science Female Diversity Award for expanding access to computer science education for female students.

Hockaday was recognized for its AP Computer Science A program. Ursuline was recognized for both AP Computer Science Principles and AP Computer Science A. Ursuline was one of 64 schools to be awarded for both courses.

Schools that earned the recognition achieved higher than 50% of female exam taker representation in advanced computer science classes. The schools included public, private and charter schools across the nation.
