Dallas seems to be the land of opportunity, especially when it comes to flights.

Atlanta-based Delta Airlines has chosen Dallas Love Field Airport as its new permanent home. All flights will operate on an Airbus A319 aircraft.

Alongside the big move, the airline has announced two new routes for passengers set to be available this summer, June 5, at the airport. One route will be to LaGuardia, and the other will be to Los Angeles International.

“These new routes will provide our residents and workers with more options for travel while bringing more visitors to Dallas to experience all the great opportunities and amazing amenities that our city has to offer,” said Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson.

Though Delta isn’t new to Love Field, it is expanding its presence there with more than 125 destinations available, even with just one gate.

Alaska Airlines occupies two gates and Southwest Airlines currently occupies 17 of the 20 gates at Love Field.
