Music artist Kem has a new memoir out with Thomas Jefferson alum David Ritz

R&B singer Kem is celebrating 20 years signed to Motown with a new album and debut memoir, which dropped today.

The memoir, titled Share My Life: A Journey of Love, Faith and Redemption, was co-written with seasoned biographer and Thomas Jefferson alum David Ritz.

In addition to biography writing, Ritz is also a ghostwriter, songwriter and journalist. He’s co-written books with some of the biggest names in music, including Marvin Gaye and Willie Nelson.

Though he hails from Dallas, he has since planted his roots in California.

This latest book with Kem looks back at the artist’s troubled beginnings and struggle with homelessness and addiction and his healing process toward a new life.

The memoir was released April 4 under the publisher Simon & Schuster.
