The North Dallas Artist Studio Tour, which features studios across Preston Hollow, returns for its 18th year later this month.

Nineteen art studios featuring 29 local artists will be open to the public during the self-guided tour. The tour features artists working in North Dallas between Northwest Highway and LBJ Freeway and from Webb Chapel to Central Expressway.

The artists range from a variety of media, including glass, oil paints and watercolors, ceramics, woodworking and more.

Not all of the works guests see will be completed pieces, some art will be in works in progress. The participating artists will be creating pieces live and available for questions about their inspirations, ideas and processes.

Jewelers Charlotte Edwards and Martha Vaughan will create silver jewelry using a new method of working with silver; photographer Sheila Cunningham’s will show how she uses both traditional and digital photography tools to create reflections on contemporary issues, according to the press release.

A full list of the participating artists and where they can be found the day of the tour is on the tour map here.

The North Dallas Artist Studio Tour will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, April 29 – 30. It is a free event.
