Friends of Northaven Trail and Dallas Park & Recreation are hosting a day of events along the trail called Celebrate Your Northaven Trail. The event will include biking, a YMCA open house, a dog walk and prairie rewilding.

Celebrate Your Northaven Trail will feature these activities:

Community Dog Walk: At 9:30 a.m., guests can bring their four-legged friends out for a community dog walk. Dog treats will be provided to those who attend. The walk will begin at the Northaven Trail parking lot (located just north of where Inwood Road intersects Northaven Road) and head west toward the YMCA.

YMCA Community Day: From 10 a.m.-12 p.m., visitors can stop by the Friends of Northaven Trail’s tent at the Semones YMCA’s healthy community day. There will also be live music, art, food, kids’ games, face painting, pet adoption, baby goats and more.
