Bizzy Burger Merchants, the burger concept with an aim to elevate fast-food, has closed.

The restaurant’s page on Google still lists it as temporarily closed, and the most recent update, posted two days ago, states the following:

“We are currently closed due to technical issues in our kitchen. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you all. Please check back with us as we will post updates throughout the week. Thank you! We hope to serve you again very soon.”

However, restaurateur Mark Brezinski told CultureMap that last week that the Montfort Drive location is closed for good.

“I think our concept of ‘better fast food’ has a future but unfortunately not on Montfort any longer,” Brezinski told CultureMap.

He also attributed reviews and slow customer growth as additional factors to the decision to close. The restaurant prided itself on it’s formula for building burgers, allowing customers to choose a burger, cheese and unique topping.

In our May issue, Brezinski told Advocate that the goal was to be able to “do what Velvet Taco did for tacos, but for burgers.”
