Author and journalist Brianna Holt will discuss and sign her latest book this Tuesday at Interabang Books.
Holt’s latest work, In Our Shoes, is about the stereotypes Black women face and the roles they take in society. the book is a combination of Holt’s own experiences, reporting and a call-to-action.
According to the event description, the book is “part memoir, part cultural critique” in the span of nine chapters. The discussion, which starts at 6 p.m., will be hosted by writer, poet and musician Melania Luisa Marte.
Much of Holt’s work explores identity, race and culture. She has been featured in several publications, including The New York Times, Rolling Stone, The Cut and more.
