Dallas police officers engaged in a car chase near Love Field Airport on Sept. 7, resulting in the suspect facing three counts of aggravated assault on a Peace Officer.

According to the preliminary investigation, at approximately 9:00 p.m. on Sept. 7, 28-year-old Demetrius Graham-Harris was traveling eastbound in the westbound lane of Tom Braniff while officers were responding to a service call in the 3300 block of Tom Braniff. Graham-Harris attempted to pass the squad car but instead hit the rear of the police vehicle.

The suspect headed towards Love Field Airport, breaching the security gate in a restricted area. Graham-Harris exited his vehicle and attempted to evade officers. He was tased and taken into custody. The police took the suspect to a local hospital for further evaluation.

He was stopped with a Taser and taken into custody. Following the arrest, the police transported the suspect to a local hospital for further evaluation.

Graham-Harris will be charged with three counts of aggravated assault on a peace officer. He was also wanted on a felony family violence warrant out of Dallas County. 

The suspect will face charges of three counts of aggravated assault on a peace officer. In addition, he has been wanted on a felony family violence warrant issued in Dallas County.

No officers were injured during the incident and this story will be updated with more information once available.
