A new restaurant, Nikki Greek Bistro & Lounge which highlights Greek cuisines, will open in Devonshire on the corner of Lovers Lane in early 2024.

Owners Lisa and Tom Georgalis who also were behind The Ivy Tavern will share family recipes and unexpected dishes at the new location. The name comes from the goddess of victory and Nikki promises just that.

“After our son’s near-fatal car accident we decided that it was time to open Nikki, a concept we have been cultivating for over 7 years,” owners Lisa and Tom Georgalis said. “We felt an immense sense of victory in our son surviving the accident and when the perfect location was presented to us we took it as a sign that it was time to finally bring our concept to life.”

The neighborhood restaurant will serve delicious food with a lounge for social gatherings. It’s predicted to be an upscale modern bistro where there will be post-dinner drinks, bites and cocktails throughout the night.

“Most importantly, I also came to learn that Greek cooking is an art form, an event, and a delight not just for the palate,” Lisa said. “It should strike all five senses too.”

To help with the culinary team, Nikki has enlisted Chef Blake Andress who has prior experience at Mister Charles, The Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek and other accolades. It’s Blake’s belief that the dishes should utilize the seasons and natural ingredients to create authentic cuisines while indulging in the Greek traditions.

“There’s something so powerful about food that allows us to connect with others, not only in our own backyards but across the globe,” executive chef of Nikki, Blake Andress, said. “Our goal with the menu at Nikki is to expose guests to flavors and presentations they’ve never experienced while also offering inventive takes on authentic Greek fare. On the menu you’ll see inspiration from all regions of Greece including the islands, coastal mainland towns, and interior regions of the country. There’s a lot of love, memories, and history that has gone into this menu and I look forward to doing it the justice it deserves.”

Nikki is expected to open on Monday – Saturday with early evening and dinner menus. The lounge will stay open late for drinks and bites on Friday and Saturdays.
