One of Dallas’ most ornate and historically significant residences has been listed for sale once again, with a few updates to maintain its timeless appeal.

The 4.3-acre estate, situated on Walnut Hill Lane, has been on the market since April 2023, with an asking price of $60 million. It boasts 27,092 square feet of living space, featuring 10 bedrooms, 17 bathrooms, 11 fireplaces, a 7-car garage, a tennis court, a basketball court, a country club-size pool and even a helipad.

This grand mansion was originally constructed in 1938 by Italian Count Peter Crespi and architect Maurice Fatio. Over the years, it has changed ownership, passing through the hands of notable individuals such as Tom Hicks and the Cox family. It also was famously featured on the television show ‘Most Expensivest,’ hosted by rapper 2 Chainz.

Throughout its history, the house has undergone several renovations, most recently in 2018. The latest updates include essential maintenance improvements, including a secure room with an oxygen supply, a thick-walled safe and a glass elevator leading to the wine cellar, adorned with terracotta flooring.

This historic estate reflects its rich past with antique European wooden floors in the ballroom. Count Crespi, during the original design, had a library dating back to the 1820s, valued at $5 million, relocated from London and meticulously reassembled within the house.

This property is listed by Michelene Galbraith of Allie Beth Allman & Associates.
