The Salvation Army of North Texas shares the season’s spirit with its annual Angel Tree. The last day to adopt an Angel and to return with gifts is Dec. 2.

For over 44 years, North Texas has hosted the largest Angel Tree in the world. Thousands of local children, seniors and adults with special needs benefit from the program. Angel Tree works to alleviate emotional holiday stress for families facing financial challenges.

“We have experienced increased requests for assistance this year for Angel Tree, as well as all of our other programs. The generosity of the public through Angel Tree adoptions, financial donations, and our many other Christmas programs ensures we can meet the physical, social, and spiritual needs of North Texans year-round,” Major Dawn McFarland, area commander of The Salvation Army of North Texas, said. “We are grateful to everyone who is making the holidays brighter and life a little easier for our neighbors.”

The community can help by adopting an Angel or making a donation. Each Angel comes with a wish list such as new clothes toys, shoes, hygiene and care products and more. Local locations participating is NorthPark Center and Galleria Dallas. Once the gifts are purchased, The Salvation Army asks that donors leave them unwrapped and place them in a bag with the corresponding Angel Tree tag.

Drop-off times at all locations will be on Dec. 1 and Dec. 2 from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. For NorthPark Center, the drop-off location will be at the northeast parking lot near Macy’s and for Galleria Dallas, the circle drive near Grand Lux Cafe.
