Dallas Love Field and Mars are sweetening the holiday travel season with its first-ever M&M’S® Merry Movie Holiday Lounge, offering a complimentary movie-watching experience for airport goers from Dec. 20 through Dec. 31.
Whether it’s a hefty layover or passengers arriving extremely early at their terminals (we are all guilty), they can kick back and relax with a holiday film presented by the iconic candy company.
The movie lounge will be located near Gate 11 and open every day, except for Christmas Day, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The holiday pop-up will add some cheer and color to the airport, entertaining travelers with a classic seasonal film on loop. And before it’s asked, yes, M&M’s will have sweet treats on deck including their newest flavor, white chocolate toasty vanilla.
A recent survey commissioned by Mars found that nearly 70% of Americans travel for the winter holidays and of those who travel, about 2 in 3 experience at least one stressful experience.
“Everyone knows how hectic and busy holiday travel can be, especially for travelers whose plans are disrupted by delays, cancellations or rescheduling,” Allison Miazga-Bedrick, VP of Seasonal Marketing at Mars Wrigley said. “Mars aims to inspire moments of everyday happiness, so we created the innovative M&M’S Merry Movie Holiday Lounge to bring cheer and add a touch of M&M’S to the movie-watching comforts of home during the holidays, amid an otherwise stressful experience for many.”
