The Cambridge School of Dallas has a new permanent campus in the works at 3202 Royal Lane.

The Cambridge School of Dallas is a religious, classical, college preparatory school. In October 2019, the tornado destroyed The Cambridge School of Dallas’ campus, forcing them to attend a temporary campus. Previously, they were leasing a space out of Northway Church and while construction was underway, Fellowship Church at Park Lane and 75 temporarily hosted them. Now, they look towards the new campus after moving locations several times. They’re currently using Walnut Hill Methodist Church at 10066 Marsh Ln.

The new building will have over 40,000 square feet. When the new school opens, it expects 140 students, 30 more students than previously enrolled.

The school’s campaign, For the Generations, hopes to build the school’s first permanent campus at Royal Lane. In the master plan for the new campus, the academic building will have sixteen classrooms, two science labs, a multi-use classroom and a library. The athletics building will have a gymnasium, athletic offices, locker rooms and a training room. Other buildings and space will be used for administrative and storage places.

The space was previously held by Walnut Hill Lutheran Church and was also once the school’s temporary address during a semester. In 2017, two years before the tornado, they bought the space from the church in a $2.7 million deal.

HKS Construction and Ridgemont Commercial Construction have been part of the project at Royal Lane. Throughout last year, the school has provided construction updates and in October, they were in the process of adding the athletic building and were still in their phase two plan.

There is still not a date announced for the new school. More information will be provided as development continues.
