Local Pilates studio Session Pilates is expanding with two new locations this year, including one at Preston Royal.
The two openings will be the studio’s fifth and sixth locations since opening the first studio in Uptown in 2016 near Knox Henderson. Other existing locations include Lovers Lane, Uptown and Plano. The upcoming additions will be in Frisco and near Preston Royal. The news was shared through the studio’s Instagram account on Monday, Jan. 16.
The new location was something off SESSION client’s wishlist.
“This has been something that current SESSION clients have been asking for for quite some time now,” director of marketing for SESSION, Molly Grace Brown, said. “Anytime we have polled them on where else they’d like to see SESSION, Preston Royal is at the top of that list and we are overwhelmed with gratitude that we are able to make this happen.”
The studio offers a 50-minute workout experience with quick transitions for a beat-based, high-intensity, full-body routine. Founder and owner Brittany Grignon and her team use music-driven classes to guide people through the workouts on the Allegro 2 reformer.
“The way that SESSION has morphed into a lifestyle for so many will never not blow my mind,” Grignon said. “The opening of this Preston Royal studio is very special to us because it is something that our clients have been asking for for a long time now, and I am overwhelmed with excitement that we are able to make this happen for our clients who have been with and supported us amid the lows of COVID and the highs of extremely full classes that have also proven to be difficult to get into at times. This studio is a thank you to our clients and the fact that we are opening Frisco and Preston Royal at the same time is the cherry on top.”
The new studio is estimated to open in spring 2024 and is taking over the Relax your Back space at 5959 Royal Lane, Suite 624.
