A new process-based art camp, Sensible Arts, fostering children’s creative confidence through sensory activities, is set for this summer.

Located at Northaven United Methodist Church off Preston Road, the camp will run Monday through Thursday each week in June, from June 3 to June 27. Classes for three to five-year-olds will run from 10 a.m. to noon, while sessions for six to nine-year-olds will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Led by Khatti and Stevenson, both experienced educators, the camp aims to nurture creativity in individuals of all ages. Khatti, with a background in teaching art to both children and adults, emphasizes embracing the artistic process to find joy in creation. Stevenson brings expertise as an early childhood educator and former preschool teacher at NorthPark Presbyterian Day School.

Together, they combine their passion for teaching to instill self-confidence in young learners.

For those unable to attend in person, spin art kits will be available online.
