Cool breezes and colorful leaves aren’t the only wonderful things headed our way as summer winds down. This ever-growing list of brand new shops slated to open around Preston Hollow come summer’s end is pretty exciting too. From the return of Antek’s Furniture, a former neighborhood mainstay, to retail spots opening their very first storefronts in Texas — there’s something in this fall retail roundup for everybody.
1. Anteks Home Furnishings returns to Preston Hollow
Anteks is bringing its upscale, western rustic home furnishings to The Plaza at Preston Center (between Mal Malouf and Pockets Menswear) this Fall. Earlier this year Capital One Bank opened on Lovers and Lomo Alto, which housed the furniture store for 20 years before its move to the Design District in 2009.
2. Double R by Ravi Ratan
Create your own signature look with endless design options at this women’s tailored shirting store, Double R by Ravi Ratan. Look for the store to open sometime this fall in Suite 140 on 8383 Preston Center Plaza Drive.
3. ‘Cuckoo’ for Canary
Canary, opened its doors on West Lovers in October of 2013. With a focus on emerging designers, Canary boasts an exclusive well-edited brand mix in a luxurious, feminine atmosphere. On Sept. 4, owner Merry Vose will unveil “Cuckoo” for Canary, an exclusive jewelry boutique within Canary. (Stay tuned for more on the unveiling party.)
4. Mulberry to open in NorthPark Center
Prepare for a British invasion of the fashion variety when Mulberry opens the doors of its first and only storefront in Texas this fall.
5. The Walking Company
The Walking Company, is bringing not only the world’s largest selection of comfort footwear, but also cutting-edge 3D technology utilizing digital sizing and analysis for a customized fit to NorthPark Center this fall.
6. RiffRaff
As we mentioned last month, RiffRaff has chosen The Plaza at Preston Center for its first Dallas storefront. Now we know that the youthful womenswear and accessory boutique is shooting for an early September opening date.
7. Arhaus moves closer to opening in NorthPark Center
Occupying 24,000 square feet, Arhaus Furniture will boast “eco-conscious” eclectic home furniture and accessories. The store will also feature its signature “chair wall” with dining chairs of all shapes and sizes.
8. Pirch
Fellow high-end furniture retailer Pirch will debut its luxe showroom in part of NorthPark Center’s Barneys New York space on Aug. 23.
