No matter how you feel about the psychedelic mural on Forest Lane, you have to admire the effort Brent Herling put into saving it. Last year, he and a group of volunteers painstakingly restored the original design, which was created in 1976. Why do we bring this up? On Sunday, a truck crashed into the painted wall. Luckily, the vehicle hit a part of the mural that was already damaged. Robert Wilonsky has more.

CultureMap wrote about Preston Hollow resident Gabriel Barbier-Mueller’s vision for Dallas. He’s already done plenty to preserve history and promote walkability in the Harwood District. What’s next?

In 2013, Lesley Ann Sharp, an English teacher at Hillcrest High School, was arrested for having sex with a student. According to The Dallas Morning News, she recently made a “deal that could keep her out of prison.” Click here to read about the terms of her probation.
