Plant Parenting: Swap and Sip Event
What: Swap plants, rooted cuttings and seeds with fellow plant parents while you enjoy refreshments. Commune with fellow plant lovers, chat about plant-keeping challenges or what’s exciting you in your plant collection. Make plant friends in real life and get a cool new-to-you plant or two out of the deal. Cost: free.

What: Carter BloodCare is dedicated to giving life to the community. Help them by donating blood at NorthPark. Free.

Cooking Class: Mexican Street-Style Tacos
What: Say goodbye to ground beef, taco mix and store-bought shells. Learn how to make your own corn tortillas in this class dedicated to the art of the street taco. Students will learn the techniques necessary to create the perfect summer meal. Â Please note that the class is only for those ages 14 and older. Cost: $69 per person.

Building Straw Rockets
What: Use pneumatic launcher to blast off your own straw rocket. Experiment with angle, design and force of launch to create the best rocket you can. Sponsored by the Friends of the Dallas Public Library. Ages 7 and up.
