The Fabric of Opera: Winspear World Premieres
What: Curated by The Dallas Opera set and costume designer Tommy Bourgeois, this exhibition features costumes from “Moby-Dick,” “Everest,” “Great Scott” and “Becoming Santa Claus.”

Hillcrest High School Homecoming Parade
What: This free event at Hillcrest includes a one-mile parade. The route will start at 5:15 p.m. at the corner of Lakehurst Avenue and Airline Road; south on Airline Road; right on Aberdeen Avenue; right on Hillcrest Road; right on Meadow Road; right on Airline Road dispersing in the parking lot of Franklin Field.

TX-OU Red River Rivalry Sing-off
What: Enjoy a free concert by the Longhorn Singers from the University of Texas. The ensemble will perform rink-side with orange and crimson sprays of balloons over the ice rink representing both UT and OU.

Fall pumpkins
What: Enjoy fall cooking with pumpkins and fall herbs and spices. Learn to make recipes, including pumpkin granola and a chicken salad with seasonal herbs. There’s also information on working with pumpkins — cutting techniques, making puree and what to do with the seeds.
