Early voting starts today for the heated Dallas ISD runoff election between Dustin Marshall and Lori Kirkpatrick

Early voting starts today for the June 10 runoff election, as incumbent Dustin Marshall and newcomer Lori Kirkpatrick vie for the District 2 seat on the Dallas ISD school board.

Kirkpatrick had a 294-vote lead in the contentious May election, narrowly missing the 50.01 percent needed to avoid the runoff.

Polls at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 7611 Park Lane, and Marsh Lane Baptist Church, 10716 Marsh Lane, will remain open until Tuesday, June 6.

Hours are:

• May 6-June 3: 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.
• June 4: 1-6 p.m.
• June 5-6: 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
