President Joe Biden landed in Dallas for two campaign fundraisers, visiting Highland Park and Preston Hollow on Wednesday, March 20.

His first stop was at trial lawyer Russell W. Budd’s home in Highland Park near Preston Road and Armstrong Avenue around 6 p.m., according to President Biden’s calendar on Factba.se. The event, hosted by Budd and Dallas lawyer Regina Montoya, raised over $2.5 million, as reported by NBC 5.

At 8 p.m., Biden attended another fundraiser at Pharos Capital Group’s Kneeland Youngblood’s home in Preston Hollow.

Both Budd and Youngblood are previous Democratic party donors. Each visit lasted about an hour.

According to Fox, streets in the neighborhood were shut down during the day for the event, with Secret Service and Dallas police stationed at the corner of Inwood and Northaven Road.

During the visit to Preston Hollow, pro-Palestinian demonstrators were seen along Inwood Road waving Palestinian flags.

As Biden left Dallas, more pro-Palestinian demonstrators lined the streets of North Akard Street and Munger Avenue in downtown Dallas on Thursday morning, according to the Dallas Morning News. Led by the Palestinian Youth Movement, around 100 protestors gathered at the Fairmont Dallas hotel in response to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

In January, pro-Palestinian demonstrators assembled outside Dallas Love Field during President Biden’s visit for former congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson’s funeral. Air Force One landed at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport for this week’s visit.

Next, President Biden will head to Houston for another campaign fundraising reception.
