Edgemere, Preston Hollow’s senior living community, announces Teresa Bates as its new executive director.

Bates, who first joined Edgemere in 2002 and was part of launching its health center, fills the executive director role after being the associate executive director. She will take over the position from former executive director John Falldine. Falldine started at Edgemere in Jul 2001 as the director of operations with previous experience as an assisted living administrator in Florida.

“I am honored to take on the role as executive director at Edgemere,” Bates said. “The community holds a special place in my heart – having spent more than half of my career serving seniors here.”

In her new role, Bates will oversee day-to-day operations across all departments and team members. Her goal is to “provide the safest place for residents to live and team members to work.”

“Teresa’s history with the community is invaluable, and her dedication to senior living makes her the perfect fit to lead Edgemere,” Chris Silasavage, director of sales, said.

Introduced to the senior living industry by her mother, a nurse, Bates developed a passion for serving seniors early in her career. Mentored by a senior living community owner after graduating college, Bates joined the leadership team and found fulfillment in serving seniors.
