I just learned of a serious crime that happened in the Sparkman neighborhood:
Wednesday, Jan. 28 around 9:45 p.m. a father dropped his child off at a home at the corner of Ainsworth and Cromwell. The child had gone into the house to retrieve something and the father stayed waiting in the car. This is when the father says two young men approached him. They put a gun to his head and demanded money. He gave them his wallet and planner, and they ran off.
There is no further information about suspects right now, but I will keep you updated. In the meantime, it’d probably be a good idea to alert your neighbors and HOA crime watch volunteers.
