Last week on this blog I told you about a spike in home burglaries near Webb Chapel and Northwest Highway. Now it seems that burglary rash has started to spread to the nearby Sparkman neighborhood. According to a crime alert sent out by the Sparkman HOA, there have been a handful of home burglaries—the most recent a few days ago.
Most of these incidents happened during workday hours. The suspect is a male 15 to 22 years old, and according to police, he typically knocks on the front door and if nobody answers, he breaks in through the back of the house.
