The Katy Trail will soon be extended over Mockingbird Station with a pedestrian bridge that cuts between Hotel Palomar and Public Storage, and connects to Mockingbird Station. We’ve covered the trail extension here in the magazine, and here on our blog.

The renderings of this bridge have been kept under wraps until now. Here’s a first look at what this bridge will look like. From this vantage point, Mockingbird Station is on the left.

Construction of the bridge should start before the end of the year.  That bridge is part of the plan to extend the Katy Trail so that it connects to White Rock Trail.  That extension project should take two years to complete, and will cost $12 million.
