In this month’s Advocate we featured the stellar salad lineup at Celebrity Café. This weekend, the bakery will honor several Preston Hollow neighbors for their outstanding community service as part of its “Local Celebrities” contest I told you about last month.

More information about the neighbors who won is here after the jump.

Preston Hollow neighbors who will be honored include:

Kelly Richart, who works for a women’s shelter full time, and is president of Feral Friends, a local cat rescue organization.

Monica Jones, who started Divine Divas of North Texas, a nonprofit comprised of women and teens who volunteer in the community.

Nancy Egan, who helped establish the University Park Library and many other volunteer activities in the community, like the Junior League Sustainers, the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, Dallas Kappa Ipha Theta Alumnae, and the Mary K. Craig Class. She has also volunteered since 1996 at City + Country Pets Magazine, a non-profit monthly magazine about dog and cat welfare.

Francis Ray, who helped established The Turning Point Legal Fund to assist women of domestic violence. She also wrote “The Turning Point,” a book benefiting The Family Place.

These women will be honored during a community celebration at the Celebrity Café at the Preston Royal Village this Saturday at 3:30. Neighbors are invited to come out to meet these women, and enjoy some baked goodies.
