There, among the phonebook-width menu at Cheesecake Factory, you’ll find a new small plates offering. Like tapas, the idea is to order several and share — which is exactly what a friend and I did during a recent visit.

We opted for the ahi tartare, the roasted stuffed dates, sweet corn fritters, and beets with goat cheese. Everything we sampled was tasty, and there was plenty for two. None of the dishes, however, outshined the dessert: a red velvet cheesecake that was just added to the menu. This, is a must try. It’s eyes-roll-back-in-your-head good.

I also noted there was a handful of new pizzas being offered, like the prosciutto and wild mushroom pizza, which I may have to sample on my next visit.
