A sea of pink will wash over the NorthPark area as thousands take to the streets for Susan G. Komen’s Race for the Cure. If you’d like to lace up for the IK or 5K, which raise money for breast cancer research, it’s not too late to register.

And given that it’s Texas-OU weekend also, you’re likely see a lot of orange and crimson jerseys while you’re out and about. If you’d like to watch the game, State & Allen is doing it big with $5 Frito pie and $10 ribs; The House of Blues is setting it off early with a “Kegs and Eggs” watch party; and Celebration will have extended hours from 11:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. in honor of the big game.

Lastly, there’ll be green aplenty at Milestone’s farmers market this Sunday. This week’s lineup includes locally-grown and made foods like free-range chicken from Denison, homemade sausages and pastas from Copper Canyon and salsas made right here in Dallas (you can get the full story that vendor here in our East Dallas Advocate archive).
