Friday night at 8 you can enjoy fondue night at Scardello Artisan Cheese. For $35 you get salad, three-mountain cheese fondue with salamis, bread, and fruit—as well as locally made truffles for dessert. Reservations are required, so book your spot now.
Saturday afternoon from 1-2:30 you can get informal drawing instruction from artist Ian O’Brien as he leads you through the Meadows Museum’s permanent collection. The session —which is free with your museum admission — will provide an opportunity to explore a variety of techniques and improve drawing skills. Drawing materials will be available, but you’re encouraged to bring their own sketchpads and pencils. Attendance is limited to 20 and is on a first-come, first-served basis.
In celebration of Texas Independence Day, The Ginger Man Pub is hosting its annual chili cook off this Saturday. About 20 teams will dish out their best batches, which you can sample from noon to 7 that evening.
