Since all of Dallas was voted wet last November, grocery stores and residents have been waiting for the day when beer and wine start lining the shelves. According to a report on NBC 5, the Tom Thumb at Preston and Royal is among the first few in the city to receive its permit for selling alcohol.

We wrote a cover story on the wet-dry issue and what it could mean for our neighborhood. One thing’s for sure now – no more driving down to Northwest Highway or across Central Expressway to buy a bottle of wine to go with dinner.
