Suzy Cox set out to make a difference in the lives of children caught up in the foster care system. So, last month, the Preston Hollow resident was sworn in as a CASA volunteer in the 304th district court, Judge Bill Mazur presiding.

Dallas CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) helps provide voices for the voiceless – children who are abused and neglected and left without a home. The advocates gather critical information and make recommendations that could have a huge impact on these kids’ lives.

“I want to help those who can’t speak for themselves reach their fullest potential,” Cox says in a press release.
