The Quebe Sisters Band, a blend of western swing, vintage country, bluegrass, jazz, swing, and Texas-style fiddling will open for The Purple Hulls 8 p.m. Jan. 11 at Uncle Calvin’s.
Bookmarks in NorthPark will feature a special engagement 2 p.m. Jan. 12 where children can meet animal favorites like the Velveteen Rabbit himself, and make crafts inspired by the tale. One family will receive a four pack of tickets to see “The Velveteen Rabbit” by the Enchantment Theatre Company.
Franklin middle school hosts its regional math team event Jan. 12 that serves as a fundraiser to send their “Mathletes” to an annual state competition in April. Volunteers are needed Jan. 11, to help set up materials, and Jan. 12 to work concessions, help guide visitors and more.
