T. Boone Pickens’ Preston Hollow mansion is now listed for an easy $7 million, or make that $9 million if you want his furniture, reports the Dallas Business Journal.
There’s no doubt the home is beautiful, but at 8,215-square feet it’s something my apartment-living, grocery shopping at Aldi, coin-counting-self cannot fathom.
The Business Journal reports his two story home at 9434 Alva Ct. has 4.3 bathrooms, a library, pool, cabana and several living areas.
Lets get back to 4.3 bathrooms. I’m not quite sure what the .3 means, but I do wonder what one does with that many bathrooms.
According to data from the United States Census Bureau 20 percent of single-family homeowners have three or more bathrooms. Looks like I need to get with the program. Pickens is reportedly selling his home to downsize and Dave Perry-Miller and Associates is representing him. I wish him the best of luck, and kuddos to the person that purchases this Mediterranean-style beauty.
