St. Jude Notes of Hope 2012

St. Jude Notes of Hope 2012

Bring out the architect in your kiddo. The Dallas chapter of the American Institute of Architects and Bookmarks will partner for crafts and story time from 1:45–2:30 p.m. April 13. Local architects will read stories and then help kids create crafts with protractors, right angles and T-squares in honor of Retrospect week at NorthPark Center. The event takes place at Bookmarks.

Artist Nathan Mabry’s work will be on display in the Nasher Sculpture Center garden for its annual “Sightings” series of installations and interventions. Mabry created a special sculpture based on an ancient terracotta Jalisco figure, and will install six other figures inspired by Rodin’s Burghers of Calais. The series runs April 13–July 7.

Join the festivities at the St. Jude Notes of Hope at The Shops at Park Lane from 3–6 p.m. April 14. The event features activities for all ages, live performances, music and tastings from local restaurants. Renowned chef Kent Rathbun will host a Kids Iron Chef competition.  All activities benefit St. Jude.
