EQUINOX Preston Hollow will feature a spin class 10-11 a.m. May 31 to raise money for the Oklahoma tornado victims of Moore County. Spin instructor Bob Harbeson of Oklahoma will lead the class that is open to the public. Seats cost $100 and all the proceeds will go to the Red Cross Relief Fund. Berlin-based artist Katharina Grosse will feature two new installations at the Nasher Sculpture Center June 1- Sept. 1. Grosse uses acrylic paint to transform piles of dirt, ceilings, walls, and sculpted Styrofoam and fiberglass to demonstrate how painting can “appear in space.”
Emmy Award-winning composer Gary Fry will conduct the premiere of his new work entitled “Little Miracles,” at Preston Hollow Presbyterian’s Americana concert 7 p.m. June 2. The free concert takes place in the church sanctuary with Donnie Ray Albert as the featured soloist. Albert has worked with symphony orchestras across the United States, Europe and Asia.
