As Christmas approaches, we are quickly running out of time to get that special something for everybody on our list. Time is also running out for charities to collect gifts for children who wouldn’t receive any presents otherwise. Here’s a few local toy drives to make sure those kids get gifts, too:

Flying Fish Dallas in Preston Center is partnering with Toys for Tots by collecting toys for the organization. To participate, bring a toy to Flying Fish anytime during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., through Dec. 11.

Donate toys and personal necessities that will benefit those in need, by visiting the Salvation Army Angel Tree in NorthPark Center. Here’s how it works:

Choose an Angel from The Angel Tree, level one between Macy’s and Dillard’s, then drop off your gift by Dec. 11 at 9 p.m. The Salvation Army will make your delivery in time for Christmas. NorthPark Angel Tree patrons have contributed more than $3 million in donated Christmas gifts to over 39,000 North Texans over the past five years.

Whole Earth Provision Co. on Preston and Forest is hosting a toy and book drive through Dec. 15. Plus, for each (unwrapped) toy or book with original packaging with a value of $10 or more, the donor will receive a $5 Whole Earth gift certificate. Toys will be given to the Community Partners, benefiting children recovering from abuse and neglect in CPS.

Sprinkles Cupcakes holiday toy drive also runs through Dec. 15. Receive a free cupcake by bringing a new, unwrapped, toy for charity to Sprinkles in the Plaza at Preston Center.

The 44th annual WFAA’s Santa’s Helpers holiday toy drive benefits more than 50,000 children throughout Dallas Metroplex. Help out by bringing a new, unwrapped, toy to any of this year’s Santa’s Helpers drive-thru events through Dec. 20:

Area Tom Thumb locations

Area Chick-fil-A locations

TBarM Racquet Club at Dilbeck and Preston

Crossfit Odyssey and Odyssey Martial Arts at Preston and Sherry

Aspenmark Roofing & Solar at Walnut Hill and Harry Hines.

And here’s one more toy drive, hot off the press:

From now until Dec. 21, all fire stations in Dallas will serve as drop-off points for Christmas gift donations (click here to view fire station locations near Preston Hollow.) Donations can range in anything from toys to food; and once all the items are collected, they will be given to the Children’s Medical Center of Dallas.
