Lamenting the loss of Turtletique (the jewelry boutique closed in Sept. 2012; construction on upcoming Trader Joe’s in the location is still moving along) in Inwood Village?

This fall, two longtime employees of Turtletique opened the jewelry and clothing boutique, Wolo, located in the same shopping center. Some months after Turtletique closed, CultureMap reports, employees Anne Marie Daniel and Pamela Cotter remained friends and decided to open WOLO (which stands for “west on Lovers.”) The same article states that Wolo’s “price point is similar to Nordstrom” and “shoppers who prefer a boutique experience will appreciate the unique aesthetic and lesser-known brands.”

Since opening, Wolo has also displayed work from local artists and held numerous events. Catch up with Daniel and Cotter, check out the new digs, and scope out some holiday baubles this Friday and Saturday from 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. during a pop-up shop featuring Fort Worth jewelry designer Ginny Taylor.
