We reported back in October the plans for Ylang 23 to move into the Plaza at Preston Center, taking over the former Pickles & Ice Cream storefront, which recently moved a few doors down. Now, the upscale jewelry store, owned by local residents Charles and Joanne Teichman, is getting ready to open its doors this Saturday, according to its Facebook page.

Ylang 23 is moving to Preston Center after almost three decades at the Galleria. The store features work from designers Cathy Waterman, Irene Neuwirth, Jennifer Meyer, Todd Reed, Ten Thousand Things and Jamie Joseph, to name a few.

The local business scene at Preston Center has been pretty active over the past several months. Here’s a quick recap:

True Food Kitchen opened in November, and Morgan Stanley moved its office a few floors above. The same month, Miss Chi Vietnamese opened in the Wicked Po’Boys space (same owners). The new 7-story office building  is under construction of Westchester and Weldon Howell Parkway. We’ve also seen the arrival of Sprinkles Ice Cream, the Sprinkles ATM and John Tesar’s Spoon.
