Valley Ridge home in Preston Hollow

Dallas’ only citywide home tour is coming up next weekend, and it features some of the best of our neighborhood. The AIA Dallas Tour of Homes, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Nov. 1-2, includes an eco-friendly house in Preston Hollow, known as the Valley Ridge home (pictured above), designed by Todd Hamilton. It has geothermal walls, PVC panels and two green roofs.

You also can see homes in Midway Hollow and North Dallas. See the full tour route here. The homes represent a range of styles from modern villa to mid-century ranch, and highlight various design concepts such as sustainability, renovation, adaptation and new construction.

The tour kicks off with a premiere party Oct. 30, and registration is required in advance. Tickets are $100 for the public and $75 for AIA members, tour pass included.

To attend only the home tour, it costs $25 in advance or $30 during the weekend. You also can view individual homes for $10 each. Find all ticket information here.
