In the midst of chaos, Americans often turn to baseball for comfort. Following September 11, George W. Bush donned a FDNY sweater and went to Yankee Stadium. His World Series first pitch became a powerful symbol of hope. It seems appropriate, then, that The Bush Center will host a panel discussion July 13 about the sport. Several baseball experts, including Preston Hollow resident Kevin Sherrington, will share their favorite baseball memories and discuss the sport’s role in American history. The event compliments the Center’s current exhibit, “Baseball: America’s Presidents, America’s Pastime.” Tickets to the panel discussion are complimentary. Reserve yours online by clicking here.
