The good news is our neighborhood will soon have a few less potholes. The bad news is we’ll have to suffer some road closures first.
Councilmember Jennifer Staubach Gates sent an email yesterday regarding the Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) resurfacing project at Preston Road and Northwest Highway.
According to TXDOT, “there will be various lane closures on northbound SH 289 (Preston Road) between Elderwood Drive and Loop 12 (Northwest Highway). Beginning at 7 a.m. Nov. 30 one lane will be closed followed by an adjoining lane at 9 a.m. One lane will be re-opened at 4:30 p.m. and the second will remain closed overnight for concrete curing … This series of lane closures is expected to run through Dec. 20.”
