The University of North Texas at Dallas has a new president, but you might recognize his name. Robert Mong is the former editor in chief of The Dallas Morning News. Meet him this Friday at the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce. Admission is $15 for nonmembers. The event begins bright and early at 7:30 a.m.

Yogis will twist themselves into pretzel-like shapes this Sunday at the Aaron Family Jewish Community Center. Namaste Day begins at 1 p.m. It’s free to attend and appropriate for all fitness levels. The final class starts at 3:20 p.m. and will be accompanied by live music. Richmond Punch, a Julliard Grad, will play the violin, conga drums and gongs during the practice.
