Power House of Dance will send a crew of its young performers to the NorthPark Center this Saturday.

See the award-winning Intermediate Performing and Drill Company of Power House of Dance at NorthPark Center  this Saturday, May 14, at 3 p.m. Dancers range from 4 to 14 and have been trained by some of the best instructors in dance so they come ready to show their stuff. The performance is free to watch and will take place in NorthCourt located between Nordstrom and Macy’s on the first level.

Soak up some creativity from a slew of young talent during the Fine Arts Expo at W.T. White High School this Friday, May 13. The budding artists will share all of their skills, from orchestra and choir to theater and dance during a live showcase beginning at 6:30 p.m. A fine arts display accompanies the show in the school’s auditorium and will be opening starting at 6 p.m. There is no charge to attend.

Get in touch with your own creative forces with a morning of informal drawing instruction with artist Ian O’Brien at the Meadows Museum on Sunday, May 15. O’Brein will begin the day by leading a tour of the museum’s extensive galleries, before exploring a specific style of drawing and offering instruction. Particpants, who should be age 15 and up, will then get to spend the afternoon drawing in the inspiring museum setting. Supplies will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring a sketchbook and pencils if they have them. The cost of the classis included in the price of admission, but the class is limited to 20 and is first-come, first serve. Need to get your car washed but also want to support a good cause? You’re in luck. The Lamplighter School is hosting a fundraising car wash this Saturday, May 14, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the school. Come down to get the car scrubbed clean while supporting students’ education. This is the sixth annual Young Alumni Car Wash, and former Lamplighter students who are now in middle or high school are invited to roll up their sleeves and help.
