Jesuit shuts down after flu outbreak

Students at Jesuit College Preparatory School have two additional days off school this week, although many students will spend that time recovering from illness.

The Preston Hollow private school is closed Tuesday, Jan. 23, and Wednesday, Jan. 24, “due to a high volume of flu-related illnesses,” according to a text message sent to parents.

All after-school activities also are cancelled, with the exception of athletic events held off-campus.

“The School will take the closure time to disinfect all campus spaces,” according to Jesuit’s website. “On campus activity will resume as normal after 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
