Slater’s 50/50 at Preston Forest just introduced a burger inspired by Oktoberfest. The “schnitzel burger” (above) includes a breaded pork chop, a bacon-infused hot dog, Guinness mustard sauce, Swiss cheese, watercress and a pretzel bun.

Liberty Burger at Forest and Inwood features the “ghost burger” during the month of October — beef patty, lettuce, tomato, bacon, ghost pepper-infused queso Blanco and avocado. The restaurant will donate a dollar of each ghost burger (pictured below) sold to Dallas Pets Alive!, an organization aimed at making all animal shelters in North Texas no-kill.
