“12 Mighty Orphans,” starring St. Mark’s alum Luke Wilson, will be released in the fall of 2020. The film is based on the true story in the book, “Twelve Mighty Orphans” by Texas author Jim Dent.

In 1899, a school was constructed in Fort Worth to house and educate the orphans of Texas Freemasons. World War 1 veteran Rusty Russell, portrayed by Wilson, accepts a job as head football coach at the Masonic Home Orphanage. The team began with nothing, not even a football. The team of orphans went to the state championship.
