Preston Hollow neighbor and journalist Hugh Aynesworth‘s reporting in 1985 is getting some ink, including a story in Time magazine. Henry Lee Lucas was a self-proclaimed serial killer who confessed to committing as many as 600 murders. Most of those confessions turned out to be lies. Aynesworth and the journalist Jim Henderson did a story in the Dallas Times Herald in 1985 documenting how the geographical logistics of Lucas’ claims would have made it impossible for him to have been at every single murder scene. The bizarre story about Lucas is now a new five-part Netflix documentary series called “The Confession Killer.” You can watch the trailer here.
