An application for building permit was submitted last week to add a pergola at the Preston Road Central Market.
According to the application, which was submitted Jan. 25, the pergola will add 1,000 square feet and will cost around $70,000.
The Central Market at 10720 Preston Road was closed after the tornado in October 2019. It is scheduled to reopen in April or May of this year, according to Winsight Grocery Business.
The store is being rebuilt and will include curbside service, seafood and floral departments, a new coffee bar and more seating for customers.
